What Can i Put in the Skip ?

many different items including furniture, furnishings, timber, plastic and packaging, general garden waste etc You can also put heavy waste in a skip as long as you tell us beforehand. Acceptable heavy waste items include bricks, rubble, soil, hardcore 


 What Cant i put in my skip ?

You cannot put hazardous or harmful items into a skip. These include but are not limited to: asbestos, medical waste, gas cylinders, solvents, oil, petrol, diesel and explosives.


 Can you put fridges, freezers and microwaves in skips ?

NO You cannot put a fridge freezers or microwaves in our skips.

We can take these for you with prior agreement as these have to be correctly dispose off at extra cost to us


 Can we place a Mattresses in the skip ?

Only with prior agreement when you book the skip , There is an extra charge to us for disposal of £7 per Mattress


 Do i need a skip permit ?

You don’t need a skip permit if your skip will be located on private land your  driveway or private parking bay . If you’d like your skip to be placed on a road, pavement or other public space, you will need a permit. Prices are set by local councils and vary across the UK, We can apply for the permits for you 

we do provide a 1 ton grab bags which does not require a permit for when a skip is not possiable, or a load and wait service 


 WHAT IF I CANNOT GET A SKIP PERMIT? or need a skip fast ?

When a permit is not granted due to access or safety issues, we offer a wait and load service, where the driver will wait while you load the skip. Please contact us for further information.

We also provide 1 ton grab bags which can be placed on the road without the need of a skip permit 


 Does skip hire include disposal ?

Yes, disposal costs are included in the skip hire price. 


How much notice do you need ?

If you require a skip for private land 
Our standard minimum notice period is one day, however skips can sometimes be delivered same day depending on avaliability,

If you need the skip placed on public ground you will need a skip permit which can take up to 7- 10 days epending on your local council.


What do the skip hire prices include ?

The basic skip hire price includes drop-off, pick-up and disposal of waste. The standard hire period is 7 days but can be usually be extended as long as appropriate notice is given. 


How much will be recycled ?

The amount of waste in your skip that can be recycled depends on the type of materials that your are disposing of We strive to keep our average recycling rates as high as possible so you can be sure that we will do our utmost to divert all of your waste from landfill.

 

PLEASE NOTE

We reserve the right to remove any items from the skip that have not been previously agreed on hire such as mattresses fridges freezers, hazardous material etc these items have to correctly disposed off at extra cost to us

 We also reserve the right to remove items if the skip is over loaded and place back on your property if it could result in a safety issue for our driver and other road users, Our driver will advise you on the safe fill limit on delivery
